FacePhi is looking to expand its reach to new markets in Latin America. The company has entered into a strategic partnership with GBM, which already acts as the exclusive distributor of IBM solutions in the countries where it is active.
In this regard, GBM mainly focuses on Central American and Caribbean countries rather than South America, where FacePhi is much more present. GBM is itself an IT specialist and offers integration services in the Central American countries of Guatemala, Honduras, Belize, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. , as well as in the Caribbean countries of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
As a strategic partner, GBM will market FacePhi’s identity verification and integration technology to its large user base. It will also help those who are interested in integrating the solution into their own technology stacks. FacePhi’s platform uses facial recognition to match a selfie with the image of a photo ID, giving mobile customers a secure way to register for online services remotely.
